Substitutions

Start by dividing the dough into 8 equal portions then roll each portion into a 5-inch long rope.

Shape the garlic knots by tying a loose knot in the center of each rope.

Garlic, parmesan cheese, seasonings, and oil are stirred together in a large bowl. After removing the knots from the oven, they are added to the garlic and oil mixture then tossed until evenly coated.

Easy Garlic Knots from refrigerated pizza dough that is baked to golden brown then tossed in a seasoned, garlicky olive oil.

Ingredients

  • 1 (13.8-oz) can refrigerated pizza crust dough

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

  • 1 tablespoon grated parmesan

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 F. Line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Cut the dough into 8 pieces and roll each piece into a 5-inch rope then shape into a knot.
  • Place the dough knots on the prepared pan and let the dough rest for 10 minutes.
  • In a medium bowl, stir together garlic, basil, oregano, red pepper flakes, grated parmesan, and olive oil then set aside.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes, until golden brown. Remove from the oven and immediately transfer baked knots to the bowl with the garlic oil mixture. Toss until well coated.
  • Serve with a side of warm marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Store leftover garlic knots in the refrigerator for up to 5 days and reheat prior to serving.
