A Valentine’s Box of Chocolates Brownie is the perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s Day with an assortment of chocolates that are presented in an edible brownie box.

The remaining 3/4 cup of batter (step #2) can be baked in greased ramekins or a lined muffin pan.

Substitutions
This recipe is written for a 9-inch pan. A different sized or shaped pan may be used but the amount of batter and baking time would need to be adjusted.

This recipe uses a family size box of brownie mix, the ingredients listed on the box, a 9-inch heart cake pan, and a small box of chocolates.

If the chocolates came in a square box, they can be arranged into a heart prior to topping the brownie to ensure even spacing.

The chocolates are quickly pressed into the brownie heart as soon as it is removed from the oven and they should not be rearranged once placed on the brownie. Allow the brownie to cool completely and the chocolate to harden before transferring to a plate.

The perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s Day with an assortment of chocolates in an edible brownie box.

Ingredients

  • 1 (18.4-oz) box family size brownie mix

  • Eggs, oil, water according to the box

  • 5-oz assorted chocolates

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 F. Line a 9-inch heart cake pan with aluminum foil then grease with nonstick spray.
  • In a medium bowl, stir together brownie mix, eggs, oil, and water until just combined. Remove 3/4 cup of batter then pour the remaining batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake 28-30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Immediately press the chocolates into the top of the brownie.
  • Allow the brownie to cool completely and the chocolates to set. Once completely cooled, lift the foil from the pan and transfer to a plate.

Notes

  • Cover with plastic wrap or foil and store at room temperature for up to 3 days.
